S.A.M.S – “Share A Meal Service” Food Pantry

S.A.M.S Pantry became operational on October 1, 1984 and is actively involved in a ministry of community outreach. The pantry is sponsored by St. John’s Episcopal Church. In fall of 2012, SAMS moved its operations off the main church grounds and into a larger leased space about a half mile away at 503 S. Saginaw Rd.

This food pantry operates six days a week and regularly serves about 100 families a month. This pantry is a u-pick or client select pantry. Recipients are allowed to pick enough food for a week. The pantry is very fortunate to have 40-50 dedicated volunteers, not only from St. John’s Episcopal Church but other churches as well.
