Data Input of Recipient Information
EFPN is looking at computerizing our recipient information. We are looking for a volunteer to input recipient records into a database. From this database we will generate our monthly reports on the demographics of who has used EFPN. The previous month’s data will have to be entered by the first week of the month. This is a volunteer opportunity that can be done from home. The volunteer can pick up all the recipient records at the end of the month or a few times a month. If you are interested in this opportunity, please call 486-9393 or use the Contact Us form on www.midlandcountyefpn.org.
EFPN Needs Volunteers for Mobile Pantries
The Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network (EFPN) is in need of volunteers for their mobile pantries. Approximately 6-7 mobile pantries are held each year in various locations of Midland County. If you are interested in being on the volunteer email/call list for mobile pantries, please call 486-9393 or use the Contact Us form on www.midlandcountyefpn.org
EFPN Needs Volunteers at Warehouse
The Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network (EFPN) has established a warehouse to allow EFPN to take advantage of donated produce and nonperishable items, food bought at reduced prices from the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and items distributed by Hidden Harvest. We are looking for volunteers to help meet the Food Bank truck every other Tuesdays at 11:30 and the Hidden Harvest truck every Thursday at 10:00. We will have teams of two people meet the truck. Time commitment is 1-2 hours as often or as little as you want. If you are interested in helping, please call 486-9393 or use the Contact Us form on www.midlandcountyefpn.org
Senior Delivery Program
Senior Services has determined some of their clients need food delivered to their home. They anticipate around 5-10 clients would need this service. We would like to help with this effort but we are in need of volunteer drivers. The food would need to be picked up and delivered on the third Thursday of the month. Four pantries are taking turns assembling the boxes on a rotating basis: HELP, SAMS, Wheeler Rd Church of Christ and Messiah Lutheran. The drivers would become volunteers with Senior Services and not EFPN. Insurance cost preclude EFPN from taken this on directly. Senior hunger is an issue and we are working to help alleviate this. If you are interested, please call 486-9393 or use the Contact Us form on www.midlandcountyefpn.org.
