Volunteer Opportunities with MCFAN

 Pantry Worker:  

We have three pantries in need of volunteers. HELP Pantry at Memorial Presbyterian Church and SAMS Pantry sponsored by St. John’s Episcopal Church, located at 503 S. Saginaw Rd. Volunteer hours for HELP are 12:30-2:30 p.m. W, Th & F. SAMS pantry hours are 12:45-2:45 p.m. M, Tu, W. The Bullock Creek Pantry located at Messiah Lutheran volunteers pack the bags of food – their hours are T&TH 11:30-1:00. Mobile Pantry: 

Once a month MCFAN sponsors a mobile pantry which are food give aways feeding around 250 families. Volunteers are needed 9:00-3:00. Mobile pantries are typically held on Wednesdays or Thursdays.  If interested, you are added to a list and the mobile pantry coordinator notifies you of upcoming mobiles. Mobile Pantry Co-Coordinator: 

The mobile pantry co-coordinator tasks may include picking up items and bringing them to the event location, helping volunteers find a task for the day of the event, helping with set-up to determine where the various food stations should be located at the event site and overseeing the event so things run smoothly. The mobiles are typically held on Wednesdays or Thursdays and the volunteer is needed from around 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. If you are interested in this opportunity, please call 486-9393 or email us.

Warehouse: 

Each week volunteers are needed on Thursday afternoons around 12:00-1:00 PM at 503 S Saginaw Rd. to meet the Hidden Harvest truck and receive donations from Hidden Harvest . If you are interested in this opportunity, please call 486-9393 or email us.

Large Food Donations: 

We keep a list of volunteers that we call to sort, count and shelve food when there are large community food donations. If you are interested in this opportunity, please call 486-9393 or email us.

Volunteer Coordinator:  

Volunteer will be responsible for creating and maintaining a listing of volunteers, assist in getting volunteers for various MCFAN activities such as the postal drive and Balloon Fest collection, and after Thanksgiving collection.  Being able to work with Excel is desired. If you are interested in this opportunity, please call 486-9393 or email us.
